Mamidi Thandra is a traditional South Indian dessert, especially popular in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is a delicious mango-based treat made using ripe mango pulp and Sugar, often prepared during the summer season when mangoes are abundant.

Preparation:

The ripe mangoes are first peeled, grated, or chopped, and then boiled with a little water to soften. The jaggery is added to the mixture, and the whole combination is cooked until it thickens to a syrupy consistency. The mixture is allowed to cool and solidify slightly before being served. 

Texture and Taste:

Mamidi Thandra has a smooth, slightly chewy texture, with the sweetness of ripe mango balancing beautifully with the sweetness of Sugar. It has a unique sweet taste and a pleasant fruity flavor.
